american league:
division winners: yankees, twins, seattle
wildcard: oakland
alcs: twins over oakland in 7

national league:
division winners: dodgers, braves, cubbies
wildcard: s.f. giants
nlcs: giants over cubbies in 6

world series:
giants over twins in 7
(cuz san fran gets the homefield when the nationals win the all star game)
